Marcio Has just sent me this hunter so if you missed the oportunity to get the last one and are still kicking yourself, rush up!The Blade is 6 1/4" long 52100 steel, sellectivelly heat treated as can be seen in the pic, satin finished on the sides and mirror polished on the top and guard area. There is some light filework on the top of the blade - not the style that hurt the fingers, just enough for indexing and to provide some adherence to the thumb.
The handle is super comfortable as usual and made from my prefered wood, Imbuia root. This particular piece is darker than usual with some light greenish streaks, but has the typical beautifully deep, three dimensional look this wood tends to present.
The sheath is made of leather by the artisan himself and complements nicely the package.
Marcio pays a lot of atention to detail and makes each of his knives a joy to look at, hold and use, with very anatomical handles and absolutelly no sharp corners other than the edge. Hold one and you will have a hard time putting it back.US$ 425.00, plus US$ 30.00 for Priority Shpping.
